Twelve Individuals Detained in Special Police Operation in Hazaribagh

Police have arrested 12 individuals in a special operation aimed at maintaining law and order in the Hazaribagh area of the capital.

Police arrested 12 people in a special operation in the Hazaribagh area as part of an ongoing drive against crime. The operation was carried out by the Hazaribagh Police Station on Monday, according to a statement from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The arrestees include Md Himel, Md Jabed (50), Md Mahin (18), Abu Bakar (25), Md Khokon (55), Md Kabir (23), Md Salauddin (30), Md Sagar (28), Omar Farooq (30), Md Ibrahim Khalil (22), Md Enamul (28) and Md Saiful Islam (24).

According to police, those arrested include suspects wanted in regular criminal cases as well as individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities. The operation was conducted to maintain law and order in the area, and similar drives will continue, the statement said.

Hazaribagh, located in the capital, has seen increased police presence in recent months as authorities aim to crack down on criminal elements. The special operation is part of a broader effort to ensure public safety and reduce crime rates in the area.
