Suvendu Adhikari Assigns Portfolios to West Bengal Cabinet Members

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has assigned portfolios to members of his cabinet.

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has distributed portfolios among the members of his cabinet. The allocation was announced today through a notification issued from the state secretariat Nabanna. Adhikari has retained Home, Law and Justice, Land and Land Revenue, Power, Information and Culture, Refugee, Relief and Rehabilitation, Hill Affairs, and Administrative Reforms departments under his charge.

Finance Minister is Swapan Dasgupta. Other key appointments include Tapas Ray as Industry and Commerce, Sharaddwat Mukhopadhyay as Health, Jagannath Chattopadhyay as Higher Education, Deepak Barman as School Education, Arjun Singh as Transport and Labour, and Dudhkumar Mandal as Agriculture. Malti Rava Ray has been assigned Women, Child and Social Welfare and Self-help Group Development. Indranil Khan will handle Sports, Youth Welfare, and Consumer Protection. Shankar Ghosh will oversee Tourism, and Kalyan Chakraborty will manage Food Processing, Horticulture, Science and Technology, Biotechnology, and Information Technology.

Forest Minister is Manoj Oraon. Irrigation and Waterways will be managed by Arup Kumar Das. Public Health, Engineering, and Technical will be under Ajay Kumar Poddar, and Animal Husbandry Development will be handled by Rajesh Mahato.

Deputy Ministers include Joel Murmu for Tribal Development, Harekrishna Bera for Higher Education, Anandamay Barman for Transport and Finance, Ashok Dinda for Agricultural Marketing, Chand Bauri for Public Works, Vishal Lama for Home and Hill Affairs, Shantanu Pramanik for Food and Supplies, and Moumita Biswas Mishra for Industry and Commerce. Other Deputy Ministers are Umesh Rai for Parliamentary Affairs, Purnima Chakraborty for Information and Culture, Kaushik Chowdhury for School Education, Bhaskar Bhattacharya for Public Health and Technical, Dibakar Gharami for Cooperatives, and Amiyo Kisku for Food Processing.
