Former U.S. President Donald Trump abruptly ended an interview with NBC News after a heated exchange with host Kristen Welker. The interview, part of NBC's 'Meet the Press,' saw Trump becoming increasingly agitated as Welker pressed him on various issues, including his claims of election fraud and the ongoing conflict in Iran.
The tension escalated when Welker challenged Trump's assertions about election irregularities, demanding evidence. Trump responded by accusing the media of dishonesty, culminating in his decision to walk out mid-interview. NBC reported that Trump left after approximately 50 minutes.
During the interview, Trump also discussed the need for U.S. action to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and criticized a proposed $1.8 billion fund intended to compensate individuals wrongly targeted by the government. The exchange highlighted Trump's ongoing contentious relationship with the mainstream media.
