Bangladesh is investigating the incident where Prime Minister's Policy and Strategy Advisor Jahed Ur Rahman was denied entry to Delhi by Indian immigration authorities. Dhaka will decide on further steps after a detailed inquiry.
Despite prior notification through diplomatic channels, Indian immigration authorities prevented Rahman's entry into Delhi on Sunday evening for'mysterious reasons'. He is now returning to Dhaka via Colombo.
The Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) senior officials' two-day meeting in Delhi, which Rahman was to lead the Bangladesh delegation at, began today. The Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi had formally informed the Indian Foreign Ministry of Rahman's participation last Friday.
