Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir has departed for Thailand to participate in a high-level regional summit on 'Scam Center Compounds and Transnational Organized Crime.' The summit, aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation, will be held from July 20-21 in Bangkok and is organized by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in collaboration with the Royal Thai Police.

Summit Objectives

The summit will bring together police chiefs, intelligence leaders, and senior law enforcement officials from across the Asia-Pacific region. Key objectives include discussing coordinated operational responses, intelligence-sharing, regional strategies, and joint actions to combat scam center compounds and transnational organized crime.

Bilateral Talks and Return

On the sidelines of the summit, IGP Fakir will hold bilateral talks with the Chief of the Royal Thai Police to discuss issues of mutual interest and explore avenues for enhancing law enforcement cooperation. He is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on July 22.
