In a thrilling display of power-hitting, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma smashed half-centuries to propel India to a dominant 90-run victory over Zimbabwe in the second Twenty20 international at Harare Sports Club on Saturday. The emphatic win gave India an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, with the final game scheduled for Sunday.

Wicketkeeper Kishan blazed 81 off just 44 balls, while Varma remained unbeaten on 60 from 29 deliveries as India posted a formidable 219-5. The Indian batsmen tormented the Zimbabwe bowlers with their aggressive strokeplay, setting up the comprehensive victory.

Kishan and Varma's whirlwind partnership of 95 runs for the fourth wicket was the cornerstone of India's explosive innings. Kishan struck two sixes and nine fours in his 44-ball blitz, while Varma smashed three sixes and five fours in his unbeaten knock.

The victory marked a turnaround for India, who had arrived in Zimbabwe on the back of series losses in Ireland and England. The win provided a much-needed boost to the Indian team's confidence ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Zimbabwe, ranked 10 places below India in the world T20I rankings, struggled in their run chase, eventually being bowled out for 129. Only opener Brian Bennett (32) and wicketkeeper Tadiwanashe Marumani (24) offered any resistance with the bat. India's bowlers, led by Abhishek Sharma's 3-17, dominated the Zimbabwe innings.
