Today, Monday, marks the observance of Shab-e-Meraj, a significant night in Islam commemorating Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) miraculous journey. Devotees across the country engage in prayers, Quran recitations, and Zikr to honor this sacred occasion.
Shab-e-Meraj, also known as Lailatul Meraj, is a pivotal event in Islamic history where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) traveled from Mecca to Jerusalem and then ascended to heaven. This journey, known as Isra and Miraj, established the five daily prayers as a fundamental practice for Muslims.
The Islamic Foundation organized a discussion meeting titled 'The Importance and Significance of Mirajunnabi (PBUH)' at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after the Zohor prayer. The event included a Doa and Munajat led by Maulana Abu Yahya Zakaria Al Husaini, Khatib of Savar City Centre Jame Mosque, praying for the nation's welfare and prosperity.
