The holy month of Ramadan has commenced in Bangladesh following the sighting of the moon on Saturday evening by the National Moon Sighting Committee. Religious Muslims began observing Taraweeh prayers after Isha prayers at night.
Ramadan is a month dedicated to self-purification through fasting, increased worship, and charitable acts. The month is highly anticipated by devout Muslims, who seek Allah's mercy and forgiveness.
The month will culminate with the observance of Lailat al-Qadr on the night of March 27. Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus urged everyone to embrace the spirit of Ramadan by practicing self-restraint, patience, and harmony.
