The holy Shab-e-Barat was observed across Bangladesh on Tuesday night with appropriate religious dignity and solemnity. Muslims spent this night of fortune in worship and prayer. Various programs were organized by the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
The programs included religious sermons, prayer gatherings, special prayers, recitation of the Holy Quran, and performances of Hamd and Naat. Special arrangements were made in mosques across the country to highlight the significance of Shab-e-Barat.
From the Maghrib prayer onwards, worshippers gathered in mosques. After the religious discussions, special prayers were held following the Isha prayer. Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus extended greetings to the nation and the global Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
Many people visited graveyards on this revered night to offer special prayers for the forgiveness of the souls of their deceased loved ones. Additionally, many distributed cash, food, and sweets among the poor and needy as acts of charity.
