This year, 78,500 Bangladeshis will perform the Hajj pilgrimage, with flights beginning on April 18. The decision was announced following a meeting of the National Hajj Management Committee chaired by Prime Minister Tareq Rahman. The meeting emphasized the importance of pilgrim services and discussed the appointment of Arabic-speaking guides and assistants.
Prime Minister Rahman also directed Hajj agencies to upload pilgrim information, including home or hotel addresses and flight details, to the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Hajj portal within three days. The performance of Hajj agencies will be evaluated post-Hajj. The meeting was attended by key government officials and ministry secretaries.
