Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Prime Minister's political advisor, has stated that attempts to rise fascism are no longer possible. He emphasized that the people and democratic forces are united, making any indication or malevolent activity of fascism preventable. Rizvi made these remarks during a rally organized by BNP and its affiliated organizations in front of the party's central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka.

Rally Against Fascism

The rally began at the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan, proceeded to Nightingale Mor, and concluded back in Nayapaltan with a brief gathering. Rizvi noted that BNP and its various affiliated organizations jointly conducted the protest march to thwart attempts at fascism.

Rizvi criticized those who, he claimed, had deprived the people of a beautiful dawn, sunlight, normal and healthy living, and the right to live. He accused them of attempting to create instability and terrorist activities in the country using illicitly obtained funds.

Democratic Government and Progress

He highlighted that a free and fair election had taken place after a long time, resulting in a democratic government led by Tareq Rahman. Rizvi asserted that attempts were being made to conspire against this government. He recalled the past 17 years of oppression, including police raids, Rapid Action Battalion operations, and the disappearance of numerous nationalist soldiers and leaders.

Rizvi assured that under the current government, there had been no incidents of disappearances, crossfiring, or false cases in the past four months, except for those involving criminals and social offenders. He stressed the need for vigilance against attempts to halt the country's progress, prosperity, peace, multi-party democracy, and freedom of expression.

Unity Against Fascism

Rizvi called for unity among the freedom-loving and sovereignty-cherishing people to prevent any indication or malevolent activity of fascism. He was joined by other BNP leaders, including Dr. Rafiqul Islam, the party's health affairs secretary, and Abdur Rahim, former member secretary of the Matsyajibi Dal.
