In a light-hearted moment during a parliamentary session, Noakhali-1 MP Mahbub Uddin Khokon jokingly suggested that Energy Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud marry in Noakhali to ensure gas supply for the region. The minister, who referred to Natore as his 'in-laws' place, promised gas supply there, prompting Khokon's playful proposal.

The discussion began when Natore-2 MP Ruhul Kuddus Talukdar raised concerns about the lack of gas supply in Natore, affecting industries and employment. In response, the minister assured that gas would be supplied to Natore as it is his 'in-laws' place.
