The National Citizen Party (NCP) has alleged that eggs were thrown and vehicles attacked targeting its chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary in Jessore's Benapole area. However, police deny any such incident occurred.

According to NCP, the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon as Patwary was returning after visiting the Sadipur border. Student leader Khan Miftahul Mostafiz and Tasqin Ahmed, and youth leader Rupam Asan were reportedly injured in the attack. Patwary and other party leaders left for Dhaka.

NCP's central convening committee member Khalid Saifullah Jewel told Prothom Alo that Patwary led party leaders and activists to visit the Sadipur border to protest an alleged push-in attempt. They held a meeting with locals and a press conference with local journalists. Jewel said some youths threw eggs at their vehicles as they were leaving, but no one was hit. He claimed they were attacked again by student activists at Benapole land port market.

Benapole police station's officer-in-charge Ashraf Hossain denied any such attack, stating no complaint was filed. He expressed confusion over NCP's claims.

Nasiruddin Patwary posted a picture of a broken car window on Facebook, writing that their vehicle was attacked and damaged on the way back.
