Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Shafiqur Rahman has challenged Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed to prove allegations regarding Islamic Bank, stating he will personally award a medal if the claims are substantiated. Rahman criticized the Home Minister's speech during a discussion on Islamic Bank, accusing him of indirectly targeting Jamaat-e-Islami without naming the party explicitly.
Rahman questioned the Home Minister's allegations about a 700 crore loan from Islamic Bank, suggesting it was used for political funding. He demanded clarity on whether the Home Minister was referring to Jamaat-e-Islami and issued a challenge to prove the claims.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader also refuted allegations about the Rural Development Scheme (RDS) funding, asserting that it does not belong to any political party or religion. He called for a thorough investigation if any funds were misappropriated.
Rahman further criticized the Home Minister's comments on shareholders, alleging coercion and unfair practices in share transfers. He emphasized that Islamic Bank serves all citizens, regardless of political or religious affiliations.
