Prime Minister Announces Government Plan to Recruit 5 Lakh Employees

Prime Minister Tareq Rahman announced the government's plan to recruit 5 lakh employees, with 2,879 positions already being filled in public administration.

Prime Minister Tareq Rahman announced that the government will recruit 5 lakh employees to fill vacant positions across various departments. He mentioned that 2,879 positions are currently being filled in the public administration ministry and its affiliated offices and agencies. The Prime Minister made these remarks during the question-answer session in the Jatiya Sangsad on Wednesday afternoon.

In response to a supplementary question from BNP MP Abul Kalam of Cumilla-9 regarding vacant government positions, the Prime Minister said, 'I want to inform this parliament that there are various vacant positions in different government departments that need to be filled to provide better and more convenient services to the people. The government is reviewing this matter with utmost importance.' He added, 'We will start the recruitment process for these positions as soon as possible, Insha Allah.'

The parliamentary session, chaired by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, began at 3 PM. The first 30 minutes were designated for the Prime Minister's question-answer session, where he responded to three starred questions and supplementary questions from various MPs.
