Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim has called for a change in the budget to reduce the increasing debt burden. He emphasized the need for balanced distribution of the budget to ensure its benefits reach every individual. Speaking at a roundtable discussion titled 'Bangladesh's upcoming fiscal year budget: Our thoughts and public expectations,' organized by Islami Andolon Bangladesh at the Shafiqul Kabir Milanaytan in Dhaka, he highlighted the growing debt each year and stressed the necessity for change.
The Charmonai Pir also noted the difference between past and present governments, attributing the current government's rise to addressing injustices through an uprising. He argued that the policies in place have failed to meet public aspirations and called for the implementation of Islamic Shariah law for effective governance.
Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim urged everyone to be sincere and aware in using the budget to meet public demands. He called on the government to sincerely address the rising cost of essential commodities and fulfill the promise of building a beautiful Bangladesh. The roundtable discussion was moderated by Islami Andolon's spokesperson Gazi Ataaur Rahman and included remarks from various political and religious figures.
