Fisheries and Livestock Ministry State Minister Sultan Salauddin announced the immediate commencement of Bhashani Hall's restoration in Tangail to revive the city's cultural practices and provide a suitable venue for local artists. He emphasized the hall's historical and cultural significance, noting its inauguration by former President Ziaur Rahman. Salauddin criticized the previous government for neglecting the hall, which he described as a vital part of Tangail's cultural heritage.
During a visit to the dilapidated Bhashani Hall on Friday morning, Salauddin assured journalists of the government's commitment to making the hall usable again. He highlighted the hall's importance as a traditional and significant venue for Tangail, lamenting the lack of spaces for cultural events in the city. Salauddin also recalled the hall's historical context, stressing the responsibility of all to maintain it.
