National Citizen Party (NCP) spokesperson Asif Mahmud has accused the BNP government of being involved in mob justice incidents. Speaking at an Eid reunion and joining ceremony in Cumilla, he criticized the government for its failure in governance, including administration, economy, and addressing the aspirations of the July uprising. He highlighted that the BNP government has become unpopular within three months.

Mahmud claimed that the law and order situation, including incidents of rape, mob justice, and robbery, has not improved under the BNP government. He mentioned an increase in mob justice incidents and criticized the Home Minister for failing to fulfill the promise of stopping mob justice. He also accused government officials of being involved in some mob justice incidents.

Additionally, Mahmud criticized the rise in commodity and fuel prices, stating that the abnormal increase in electricity and gas prices has made life unbearable for the common people. Regarding allegations of embezzling 25 crore taka, he clarified that no personal money was taken, and there was confusion regarding development allocations.
