The District Health Department in Manikganj has taken decisive action by shutting down two private hospitals and a diagnostic centre due to widespread irregularities and substandard management. A special inspection drive, led by Civil Surgeon Dr Ivi Ferdous, was conducted to improve healthcare standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Inspection Findings
During the inspection, officials uncovered serious irregularities and operational deficiencies at several facilities. Notably, two private hospitals had been operating for an extended period without renewing their licences. Additionally, these facilities lacked essential infrastructure, including separate rooms for patients' attendants.
Facilities Closed
Following the inspection, the authorities ordered the closure of Al Rafi Hospital, Jamuna General Hospital, and Modern Diagnostic Center. Civil Surgeon Dr Ivi Ferdous emphasized that such enforcement drives will continue to ensure quality healthcare services and strict compliance with health regulations.
