The announcement teaser for 'Shuddo 2' has officially confirmed the return of Afran Nisho's character 'Masud'. The film, directed by Raihan Rafi, is scheduled for release in December 2026. The sequel aims to build on the success of the first film, offering a larger canvas, advanced technology, and international production standards.
'Shuddo', released during Eid-ul-Azha 2023, marked Afran Nisho's debut in cinema and received significant acclaim, both critically and commercially. The film won multiple national film awards and was widely discussed both domestically and internationally.
Mahendra Soni, co-founder of SVF Entertainment and chairman of SVF Alpha-i Entertainment Limited, stated that 'Shuddo's success demonstrated the potential for local films to have universal appeal. 'Shuddo 2' aims to not only continue a successful franchise but also tell a story that reflects current audience expectations and the future of Bengali cinema.'
Raihan Rafi, the director, emphasized that 'Shuddo 2' will expand his cinematic universe, exploring deeper themes of human darkness, aspirations, love, and survival on a grander scale. Producer Shahriar Shakil added that the film is being made with the highest standards in every aspect to meet the audience's demand for world-class content.
Afran Nisho expressed his excitement about reprising the 'Masud' character, highlighting its significance in his career. He promised new storylines, challenges, and surprises for the audience.
