Jamalpur Hosts Science and Math Olympiad Workshop to Foster Scientific Society

A two-day workshop on science and math Olympiad has commenced in Jamalpur, aiming to build a science-based society and prepare students for international competitions.

A two-day workshop on science and math Olympiad began at the Collectorate School in Jamalpur today. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Yusuf Ali inaugurated the workshop, emphasizing the need for a science-based society and the importance of equipping students with proper knowledge. He highlighted the potential of local students to excel internationally and called on teachers to develop them into competent and moral citizens.

Workshop Details

The workshop, jointly organized by the District Administration and the Collectorate School, is attended by 45 students from class nine and ten across seven Upazilas in the district. The students will receive lessons on physics, chemistry, and ICT.

Key Speakers

Additional Deputy Commissioner Afsana Taslim presided over the event. Other speakers included Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Azizul Haque and Additional Superintendent of Police Rakibul Islam.

Teachers and Curriculum

A total of 12 teachers specializing in the subjects will impart lessons to the students during the workshop.
