RUET and Khwaja Yunus Ali University's MTE Departments Sign MoU for Enhanced Cooperation

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Mechatronics Engineering (MTE) departments of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) and Khwaja Yunus Ali University to enhance academic cooperation, research, and industrial partnerships.

RAJSHAHI, July 20, 2026 – The Mechatronics Engineering (MTE) departments of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) and Khwaja Yunus Ali University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on academic, research, and industrial initiatives. The agreement was signed by Associate Professor Md. Firoz Ali of RUET and Assistant Professor Sumaiya Shahria of Khwaja Yunus Ali University during a ceremony held at RUET's Department of Mechatronics Engineering.

The MoU aims to foster joint efforts in enhancing academic cooperation, achieving excellence in research, and promoting innovation and industrial partnerships. Representatives from both universities expressed their commitment to potentially bringing together the Mechatronics Engineering departments of all engineering universities in Bangladesh under a unified initiative.

The collaboration is expected to bring qualitative improvements in education and research, benefiting students of the concerned departments. Key figures present at the ceremony included Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at RUET, Professor Dr. Md. Imdadul Haque, Director of IQAC, Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahed Akand, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering at Khwaja Yunus Ali University, and Professor Dr. Fazle Rabbi Shakil Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Science.

The signing of this MoU represents a significant step towards enhancing the quality of mechatronics engineering education and research in Bangladesh, with potential long-term benefits for students and the industry.
