Professor Dr Md Sohel Rana of the Pharmacy Department has been appointed as the new Treasurer of Jahangirnagar University (JU). The Secondary and Higher Education Department under the Ministry of Education issued a gazette notification announcing the appointment. The President and Chancellor approved the appointment under Section 14(1) of the Jahangirnagar University Act, 1973. Dr Sohel Rana will hold the office for four years from the date of joining or until his retirement, whichever comes first.
