Chittagong University's Our Green Campus organization held the Green Education and Sustainability Summit 2026, emphasizing the importance of environmental education and sustainability.

Chittagong University (CU) recently hosted the Green Education and Sustainability Summit 2026, organized by Our Green Campus, an advocacy group for a green environment. The day-long event took place at the Faculty of Business Administration auditorium, themed "Be Part of the Change Together, for a Greener Tomorrow."

Keynote and Special Guests

Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, Chief Adviser of Our Green Campus and former Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) of CU, delivered a keynote speech titled "Understanding Green Campus." He introduced the "green philosophy," emphasizing a positive relationship between individuals and the environment. Special guests included CU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Amin and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration Prof. Dr. Mohammad Saleh Jahur.

Panel Discussion and Attendees

The summit featured a panel discussion on "Building a Sustainable Green Campus," with participants such as University Proctor Prof. Dr. Hossain Shaid Shohrowardhy, Director of the Students' Counselling and Guidance Office Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain, and Director of the Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences Prof. Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain. Other speakers included Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman, CUCSU General Secretary (GS) Sayed Bin Habib, and Assistant General Secretary (AGS) Ayobur Rahman Tawfick. The event also saw attendance from Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Md. Enayet Ullah Patwary, Provost of Surya Sen Hall Professor Dr. S M Shamsul Huda, and various faculty members.
