Spain's central bank had already anticipated this trend, raising its inflation forecast for the year to 3.6% in June, up from a previous estimate of 3.0%. This upward revision reflects the anticipated impact of sustained high energy prices on the country's economy.
The increase in Spain's inflation rate has broader implications, particularly for countries like Bangladesh, which imports a significant portion of its energy needs.
