Today, Wednesday, marks the fourth working day of the week in the country's currency market. Amidst the Middle East crisis and other factors, foreign currency prices have been fluctuating for several months. However, an increasing trend in prices has been observed for over a month. According to Bangladesh Bank, the dollar's price remains unchanged today, with an average price of 122.75 taka. The prices of most major currencies have increased today, including the euro, pound, yuan, and Singapore dollar. The Australian dollar is the only currency that has decreased in price. The prices of the rupee and yen remain unchanged.
The open market sells foreign currencies at slightly higher prices than those published by the central bank. The fluctuations in foreign currency exchange rates also affect the country's business and trade costs.
