On June 1, 2026, a high-level delegation from the Swiss Foreign Ministry, led by H.E. Mr. Markus Leitner, visited the Nestlé Bangladesh PLC factory in Sreepur, Gazipur. Accompanying him were H.E. Mr. Reto Rengli, the Swiss Ambassador to Bangladesh, and other senior officials. The visit highlighted Nestlé Bangladesh's contributions to Bangladesh's industrial and economic development since 1994, particularly in local skill development, innovation, and job creation.
The delegation praised Nestlé's world-class production and quality standards, with special attention to the excellence of infant formula production, reflecting Nestlé's commitment to international standards, food safety, and quality. They noted that the Sreepur factory is a shining example of a Swiss institution maintaining global standards while significantly contributing to local production sector development.
Nestlé Bangladesh's 'Creating Shared Value' initiative focuses on regenerative agriculture, nutrition, and youth employment skill development, positively impacting over 20,000 families and promoting inclusive and sustainable growth. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Switzerland and encouraging continued investment and sustainable business growth in Bangladesh.
