Premier Bank director Nurul Amin has received a substantial number of shares as a gift from his family members. This was announced through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website on Sunday. According to DSE information, Nurul Amin received a total of 16,200,000 shares from his wife and son. His wife, Ferdousi Amin, gifted him 15,000,000 shares, and his son, Mohammad Adib Amin, gifted him 1,200,000 shares. Both the wife and son are general shareholders of the bank. This share transfer process, which is outside the usual trading procedures, will be completed within 30 working days from June 3. The DSE has confirmed that under the existing rules, promoters or directors can give or receive shares as gifts from close relatives, provided they follow the necessary procedures and make prior announcements to the stock exchange.
Similarly, Standard Bank promoter director Mohammad Firozur Rahman is set to receive 5,058,850 shares as a gift from his family members. These shares will be transferred to him from his wife, four sons, and one daughter. The transfer process will also be completed within 30 working days from June 3. Dhaka Bank promoter Abdul Wahed has announced that he will gift 619,575 shares to his wife, Jaheda Wahed Khan, who is a general shareholder of the bank. This transfer will also be completed within 30 working days from June 3.
