Members of Islami Bank's 'Conscious Consumer Forum' are continuing their protest in Motijhil, Dhaka, demanding the resignation of the newly appointed Chairman Khurshid Alam, among other demands. The forum held a press conference today at 12 PM in front of Islami Bank, where they presented their 7-point demands. The demands were articulated by the forum's convener, Nur-un-Nabi.
7-Point Demands
1. Resignation of Chairman Khurshid Alam. 2. Reinstatement of Omar Farooq Khan as Managing Director. 3. Removal of anyone involved in embezzlement from the bank's board. 4. Cancellation of Section 18(k) from the Bank Resolution Act. 5. Sale of S Alam's assets and properties to recover embezzled funds. 6. Ensuring S Alam cannot return to any bank. 7. Bringing all bank embezzlers to justice with exemplary punishment.
