Grameenphone has appointed Andreas Hogberg as its Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer (CSTO), effective June 1. In this role, Hogberg will lead the company's strategic transformation and oversee the implementation of its five-year strategy. His responsibilities will include driving innovation, setting strategic priorities, and ensuring sustainable growth and future readiness through institutional transformation.
Hogberg brings over 21 years of international experience in finance, technology, and shared services across Nordic, South Asia, and Southeast Asia at Telenor. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Telenor Pakistan from June 2023 to December 2025. He is also a board member of Telenor Procurement Company and has held the position of Vice President of Technology and Services, where he managed global investment initiatives across the group.
As CSTO, Hogberg will play a crucial role in enhancing Grameenphone's competitiveness, improving operational efficiency, and accelerating its transformation into a more digitally capable telecommunications and technology service provider. He expressed enthusiasm about joining Grameenphone, highlighting the company's strong foundation and market position in Bangladesh. Grameenphone's CEO, Yasir Azman, welcomed Hogberg, emphasizing the importance of transformation in the era of AI and the need for clear strategic priorities.
