The Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUSAS) has reduced the price of gold by Tk 15,339 per bhori following global market trends. The new prices were effective from Wednesday morning at 10 AM. This reduction includes a Tk 6,591 decrease per bhori announced today, along with previous reductions on June 6 and June 2.
The new prices are: Tk 2,22,782 for 22-carat gold, Tk 2,12,635 for 21-carat gold, Tk 1,82,250 for 18-carat gold, and Tk 1,48,425 for traditional method gold. Silver prices have also been reduced by over Tk 350 per bhori, now standing at Tk 4,899 for 22-carat silver.
Global gold prices have seen a significant drop, with a Tk 416 decrease per ounce in the last 30 days, including a Tk 68 decrease today. The current global price stands at Tk 4,194 per ounce, down from over Tk 5,000 at the beginning of the year.
