Md. Sajjadur Rahman Named New Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner

The government has appointed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md. Sajjadur Rahman as the new Commissioner of the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), effective immediately.

The government has appointed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md. Sajjadur Rahman as the new Commissioner of the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), effective immediately. The appointment was announced in a notification issued by the Police-1 Branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Rahman, a BCS (Police) cadre officer, was previously serving as DIG of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn). He replaces Mohammad Zahidul Hasan, who was transferred as DIG of the Mymensingh Range on July 21.
