The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two men suspected of murdering farmer Mofizar Rahman in Rangpur district. The suspects, Md Golam Rabbani and Shahidul Islam, were apprehended in Joypurhat and Bogura respectively. The farmer was found dead on May 7, 2026, after guarding an irrigation transformer which was subsequently stolen.

Md Golam Rabbani, 28, from village Satana Alirhat under Panchbibi police station of Joypurhat, and Shahidul Islam, 54, from village Purandar under Gobindaganj police station of Gaibandha, were arrested.
