The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has instructed the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra to hoist local cautionary signal No. 3 (R) due to a low-pressure area forming over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha-West Bengal coast.

Squally Weather Expected

The low-pressure area is expected to bring squally weather to the maritime ports, the North Bay, and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh. The BMD has warned of potential adverse weather conditions and advised caution.

Fishing Boats Advised Caution

All fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay have been advised to move closer to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice. The BMD's warning highlights the need for vigilance among maritime operators.
