KCC, KU sign MoU for feasibility study of Zia Hall complex | District

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) and the Research and Design Consultancy Unit (RDCU) of the Architecture Discipline at Khulna University (KU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct a feasibility study for the construction of the proposed Zia Hall Complex at Shibbari intersection, a central hub in the city.

Significance of the MoU

This collaboration signifies a significant step towards developing infrastructure in Khulna. The feasibility study will assess the viability of constructing the Zia Hall Complex, which is expected to serve as a multifunctional facility catering to various community needs.

Details of the Agreement

The MoU was signed at the GIZ auditorium of the Nagar Bhaban, with senior officials from both KCC and KU in attendance. KCC Chief Engineer Mashiuzzaman Khan and RDCU Director Professor Dr. Sheikh Sirajul Hakim signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. The signing ceremony also saw the presence of KCC Chief Executive Officer Rajib Ahmed, Secretary Md. Reza Rashid, Chief Revenue Officer Rahima Sultana Bushra, Chief Planning Officer Abir Ul Jabbar, Chief Health Officer Dr. Sharif Shammiul Islam, Architect Rezbina Khanam, KU Architecture Discipline Head Professor Rumana Asad, faculty member Dr. K.H. Mahfuz-ud-Darain, Md. Sheikh Maruf Hossain, and other officials from both institutions.
