Government Commits Full Support to Flood Victims in Cox's Bazar

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief M. Iqbal Hossain announced comprehensive government support, including food and medical aid, for flood victims in Cox's Bazar.

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief M. Iqbal Hossain today assured that the government has arranged all-out support, including food and medical aid, for people affected by floods in Cox's Bazar. He made the remarks while distributing relief materials among flood victims at a shelter centre in Ghuniya area under Fashiakhali Union of Chakaria upazila.

Comprehensive Assistance Pledged

Iqbal Hossain emphasized that the government would provide whatever assistance is needed until the suffering of waterlogged people is reduced. He assured that no affected person would be left out of government assistance and that necessary allocations would be arranged.

Post-Flood Rehabilitation Plans

The state minister also mentioned that the government has plans to support affected people through post-flood rehabilitation and repair works. Initiatives will be taken accordingly to ensure long-term recovery for the flood-affected communities.

On-the-Ground Assessment

Iqbal Hossain visited Chakaria in the afternoon and inspected various disaster-affected areas. During the visit, he witnessed the suffering of affected people firsthand and inquired about their situation. He later distributed relief materials among flood-affected people staying at the shelter centre in Ghuniya.

Officials Present

Deputy Commissioner Md. A. Mannan, Chakaria Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shaheen Delwar, and senior officials of the administration were present during the relief distribution.
