The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Tejgaon Division conducted a series of anti-crime drives on July 28, resulting in the arrest of 74 individuals. The operations targeted various areas under the division, leading to the apprehension of suspects involved in criminal activities. According to a press release, the arrests were made across several police stations, with significant numbers detained in Mohammadpur and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

Specifically, six individuals were arrested from Tejgaon Police Station, 13 from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, 28 from Mohammadpur Police Station, 13 from Adabor Police Station, four from Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, and 10 from Hatirjheel Police Station. The raids were part of a broader effort to enhance security and reduce criminal activities in the region.

The DMP has been increasingly active in conducting such drives to maintain law and order in the capital city. These operations are crucial in ensuring public safety and deterring potential criminal elements from operating within the city limits. The recent arrests reflect the police's commitment to proactive policing and community safety.

The significance of these arrests lies in the ongoing efforts to curb crime rates and create a safer environment for residents. As Dhaka continues to grow, the pressure on law enforcement to manage and prevent criminal activities increases, making such operations essential for the city's security infrastructure.
