Saudi Arabia's new national carrier, Riyadh Air, commenced daily direct flights between Dhaka and Riyadh on August 8, 2026. The inaugural flight, using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, receiving a traditional water salute.

Inaugural Flight and Ceremony

The first flight departed Riyadh at 9:20pm local time and arrived in Dhaka at 6:30am the next day. A celebratory ceremony at the airport featured speeches from Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Abdullah Zafer H Bin Abiyah, HSIA Executive Director Group Captain S.M. Ragib Samad, and Riyadh Air's Chief Commercial Officer Vincent Coste. The event underscored Riyadh Air's commitment to connecting Saudi Arabia with leading global cities while offering a superior travel experience.

Daily Flight Schedule

Riyadh Air's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will operate the Dhaka-Riyadh route daily. Flights will leave Riyadh at 9:20pm and arrive in Dhaka at 6:30am the next day. The return flight will depart Dhaka at 7:40am and land in Riyadh at 10:55am local time.
