Brothers Union cricketers boycotted their Dhaka Premier League match against Agrani Bank Cricket Club on the scheduled date, citing non-payment of salaries. The match, set to begin at 9 AM at BKSP, did not take place as Brothers Union players refused to play.

Multiple cricketers from the team, speaking anonymously to Prothom Alo, stated that they received only 20% of their contracted salaries. Despite repeated demands, the remaining amount was not paid, leading to the boycott.

The cricketers mentioned that they were promised 50% of their salaries before Eid, a commitment they reminded the club of the previous night. The lack of payment on match day led to their decision to boycott.

Match referee Enayet Hossain Chowdhury told Prothom Alo that Brothers Union did not provide a player list or appear for the toss. Agrani Bank was awarded a walkover.

CCDM claimed they were not informed beforehand and thus could not make alternative arrangements. They emphasized that salary payments are a matter between the club and the players.

Brothers Union manager Amen Khan could not be reached for comment. The team's performance on the field has been poor, with only one win in nine matches, increasing the likelihood of relegation.
