Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will visit Rangpur and Thakurgaon districts on July 27 and 28. The information was disclosed in a letter signed by the Private Secretary to the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Dr Md Moniruzzaman, as stated in a press release from the Rangpur Regional PID Office this afternoon.

Rangpur Visit Schedule

On July 27, the minister will unveil the inauguration plaque of the Rangpur divisional office of the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) at 10 am. The office is located adjacent to the wholesale fish market on RK Road in the city. Following this, he will inaugurate and inspect the stalls of Palli Mela-2026 at the Rangpur Public Library premises at 10:30 am.

Additionally, the minister will distribute tree saplings and loan cheques among beneficiaries in a function at the newly inaugurated BRDB divisional office premises at 11:25 am.

Thakurgaon Visit Schedule

On the same day, the minister will hold a meeting with the Managing Committee of Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital in Thakurgaon district town at 5 pm. He will then participate in a meeting with the leaders of the district BNP at the Thakurgaon district BNP office at 7:30 pm.

On July 28, the minister will be present as the chief guest at an anti-drug meeting at Thakurgaon Circuit House at 10 am. He will also distribute donation cheques among various beneficiaries at a programme at Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila Parishad at 3 pm. The minister will leave Thakurgaon for Saidpur Airport at 6:15 pm and will board a plane for Dhaka at 8:45 pm.
