The Youth Development Department has initiated enrollment for various skill-based training courses aimed at enhancing the skills of young job seekers, creating employment opportunities, and promoting self-employment. A recruitment notice was published last Tuesday. Individuals aged 18 to 35 can apply online following the specified rules.

The six-month training courses will be conducted from July 1 to December 31, 2026. The courses include 'Computer Basic and ICT Application', 'Professional Graphics Design', 'Electrical and House Wiring', and 'Electronics'. These training programs will be held in various districts and divisional cities across the country.

The 'Computer Basic and ICT Application' course will be conducted in 70 centers across 63 districts. Applicants must have a minimum of HSC or equivalent qualification, and the course fee is set at Tk 1,000. Most centers will have 50 seats, while a few will have 40 seats. Training will be conducted in six centers in Dhaka, two in Chittagong, and one in each of the other districts.

The 'Professional Graphics Design' course will also be six months long and will be offered in five centers in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisional cities. Each center will have 24 seats, and applicants must have a minimum of HSC or equivalent qualification. The course fee is Tk 1,000.

For the 'Electrical and House Wiring' and 'Electronics' courses, applicants need to have passed eighth grade. The course fee is Tk 300 for each. The 'Electrical and House Wiring' training will be conducted in 53 centers across 52 districts, and the 'Electronics' training in 60 centers across 59 districts. Each center will enroll 24 trainees.

Applicants must attend an interview at their respective district offices between June 28 and 30. Online applications must be submitted through the Youth Development Department's Training Management Portal. Remote applicants can submit their applications through the Upazila Youth Development Officer's office, Youth Training Center, District Office, or Union Digital Center.

Applicants must submit verified copies of educational certificates, national ID card or birth registration certificate. Original certificates and two recently taken verified passport-sized color photographs must be brought to the interview. Affidavits for age verification will not be accepted.

Successful trainees will receive allowances through Mobile Financial Services (MFS) subject to government allocation. Trainees from Rajshahi, Rangpur, Barisal, and Khulna divisions will receive allowances via bKash, and those from Dhaka, Chittagong, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions via Rocket. Trainees must have their own bKash or Rocket account.

The department has reserved quotas for marginalized communities (4%), persons with disabilities, autistic individuals, and third gender (5%). Indigenous youth can participate in the training free of course fees.

Trainees must adhere to center discipline, attend regularly, and follow health regulations. Theoretical classes will be conducted online or in-person, and practical classes in groups. Allowances will be based on daily attendance as per government rules. Employment or self-employment post-training will be considered.

Individuals who have previously received training from the Youth Development Department are not eligible to reapply. Selected trainees must provide an active mobile number, Facebook ID, WhatsApp number, and email address.
