Eight individuals have been subjected to disciplinary action for alleged irregularities and cheating during the written examination for the post of 'Assistant Agriculture Officer/Equivalent' under the Agriculture Extension Department, a body under the Ministry of Agriculture. The accused include six individuals who cheated during the exam and two who impersonated other candidates. This information was disclosed in a notification published on the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) website on Tuesday (June 8, 2026).

The notification stated that punitive measures have been taken against the accused individuals in accordance with the 'Policy for Disciplinary Action for Criminal Conduct in Examinations, 2000' due to the irregularities and cheating incidents that occurred during the written examination held on October 6, 2025.

The relevant examinations of all accused individuals have been canceled. Additionally, several have been declared ineligible to apply for any future positions advertised by the PSC. The PSC also reported that criminal cases are ongoing against five of the accused individuals.
