The Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) has announced the recruitment of 1035 Apprentice Linemen for registered rural electric cooperatives. Interested candidates must apply in person at designated centers with necessary documents and application forms.

Eligibility criteria include passing SSC or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 3.00 in Science, good health, and physical fitness standards such as a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches, weight of 110 pounds, and chest measurements. Candidates must also pass a 1-mile mini-marathon in 7 minutes and perform pull-ups.

The age limit is 18 to 21 years as of May 19, 2026. The initial salary is 15,500 Taka, increasing to 16,600 Taka after the probation period. Applications must be submitted on A4 paper, handwritten, and accompanied by a 200 Taka postal order/pay order/bank draft.

The selection process includes a physical test, followed by a written MCQ exam, and a written descriptive exam. Successful candidates will undergo training before final appointment.
