Applications for Trainee Recruit Constable positions in Bangladesh Police began today, Thursday (5 March 2026). Both male and female candidates from all 64 districts of the country are invited to apply. The application fee is 40 Taka (via Teletalk prepaid SIM).
The number of constable positions to be filled has not been specified in the related notification. However, the Home Minister, Salahuddin Ahmed, has previously mentioned a shortage of manpower at all levels of the police force. He instructed the urgent filling of 2,701 constable vacancies and 180 sergeant vacancies.
Applicants must log in to http://police.teletalk.com.bd to complete the application form. After form submission, eligible candidates will receive a User ID. Within 48 hours of form completion, a 45 Taka service charge (non-refundable) must be paid from any Teletalk prepaid mobile number.
Each candidate must send two SMS messages using their User ID from a Teletalk prepaid mobile number with at least 45 Taka balance: 1) TRC User ID to 16222, and 2) SMS TRC Yes-PIN Number to 16222.
Preliminary screening will select a specific number of eligible candidates from online applicants for physical measurement, document verification, and Physical Endurance Test (PET). Selected candidates will participate in PET, which includes running, push-ups, long jump, high jump, dragging, and rope climbing.
Candidates who pass the physical measurement, document verification, and PET will take a written exam on the notified date. The written exam covers Bangla, English, general mathematics, and general science, totaling 45 marks. The application fee for the written exam is 56 Taka.
Candidates who pass the written exam will take a 15-mark psychological and oral exam on the notified date. Finally, selected candidates will undergo a health check and police verification before joining the training center.
