Simon Sadik revealed that he completed shooting for the series in January 2024. He accepted the role after learning about the director, Abdullah Mohammad Saad, and went through several discussions, script readings, and rehearsals before starting the project.
Simon plays a 'psycho' character in the series, a role that was redesigned specifically for him. He expressed his admiration for the character and the overall experience of working on the series. 'Annie' is set in a dystopian future where a mysterious virus causes people to turn against each other, focusing on a family's struggle to survive.
The series is set to premiere at the Seriencamp Festival in Cologne, Germany, on June 9, under the 'Women in Series' category. It is expected to be released to the public within the next two months.
