Despite the government's directive to close shops and markets by 7 PM, cinema halls in Bashundhara will remain operational, according to the Bangladesh Film Exhibitors Association. The association's president, Aowlad Hossain, confirmed that they have received approval from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to keep the halls open.

Hossain mentioned that the film industry, including producers, directors, and hall owners, had requested the government to allow cinemas to operate post-Eid, as this is when the majority of movie business occurs.

Several multiplexes, including Star Cineplex and Lion Cinemas, located within Bashundhara, are following the new rule. Star Cineplex's AGM (Media and Marketing), Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, and Lion Cinemas' manager, Mirza Abdul Khalek, both confirmed that shows will continue until 11 PM.

Eight films were released during Eid: 'Rockstar', 'Roid', 'Bonolata Sen', 'Malik', 'Masud Rana', 'Pinik', 'Officer', and 'Tochnoch'.
