Bangladeshi Films 'In the Path of Giants' and 'Ali' Selected for Raindance Film Festival

The 34th Raindance International Film Festival has officially selected Bangladesh's 'In the Path of Giants' and 'Ali'. The documentary 'In the Path of Giants' will be screened on June 21 and 23. 'Ali', a short film, will be shown in the short film category.

'In the Path of Giants', a joint production of Bangladesh, Singapore, and the UK, is directed by Bangladesh's Fayad Khan and the UK's Kirsty Wales. The film will compete in the Best Feature Documentary and Best Cinematography UK categories.

The Raindance Film Festival's official site states that the documentary focuses on the complex crisis between humans and elephants in the world's largest refugee camp in southern Bangladesh. The situation is becoming more critical due to increased pressure on land and resources, as well as rising ethnic and social tensions.

The festival will run from June 17 to June 26. Previously, in April, the documentary won the 'Living with Nature' category at the International Wildlife Film Festival. Adnan Al Rajeev's 'Ali' will be screened in the short film category at the festival.
