Bollywood actor Amir Khan has officially confirmed that he is marrying Gauri Spratt on July 5 in a registry ceremony at his Mumbai residence. Indian media reported the news on Wednesday, which Khan verified on Thursday.
In an interview with Variety India, Khan stated, 'The news is true. Our wedding will take place on July 5. We both feel it is time to take our relationship to the next step.'
Khan first introduced Gauri to the public during his 60th birthday celebration in 2015, revealing they had known each other for nearly 25 years. Their renewed contact about a year and a half ago blossomed into a romantic relationship.
Gauri, a mother of one, currently works with Khan's production company, Amir Khan Productions. In an interview, she expressed that she was looking for a partner who is intelligent, sensitive, and gentle, qualities she found in Khan.
Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002 and to filmmaker Kiran Rao from 2005 to 2021. He has two children with Dutta and one with Rao via surrogacy.
