Power Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood inaugurated a 150-kilowatt rooftop solar power system at the Sirajganj deputy commissioner's office.

The 150-kilowatt (kW) rooftop on-grid solar power system at the deputy commissioner's office in Sirajganj was inaugurated today by Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood. The project, installed on the unused rooftop of the DC office, was financed by the cabinet division and brought under the net metering system on July 9. Speaking at the inauguration, the minister stated that the government aims to expand rooftop solar power generation nationwide by replicating the Sirajganj model as part of the country's solar energy transition efforts.
