During the July protests, police seized the register and CCTV server of Onabil Hospital and Diagnostic Center, according to witness Abu Musa Ahmed. He testified this at the International Crimes Tribunal-2 on Thursday. Ahmed, who was the hospital's manager at the time, said police took the items on July 23, 2024, and questioned him about the number of injured individuals treated. The police also claimed that treating injured protesters would harm the hospital.
The case involves the killing of college student Imam Hasan Taim during the protests. A total of 11 individuals are accused, with 9 currently fugitives. The fugitives include former Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Habibur Rahman and other high-ranking officers. The two accused in custody are former Officer-in-Charge of Yatrabari Thana Abul Hasan and former SI Mohammad Shahdat Ali.
